Goodbye 5th Grade

This was the best school year so far. I had the best teachers and I had so much fun. My favorite part about fifth grade was all of the fun science field trip. My favorite one was the Sone Lab field trip because my dad went on it with me. This science year was so much more fun because Mrs. LaCrosse got us very involved in everything we did. I will miss this school year so much. Good-Bye 5th Grade.

An Experiment

We are doing an experiment with baking powder and vinegar and I think that the balloons will get bigger as the results. The 5 milliliter balloon was 12 centimeters wide and the 10 milliliter was 13.5 centimeters wide and the 15 milliliter was 13 centimeters wide. If I could change one thing in this investigation it would be the baking powder and try baking soda.

IDL Photo Journal

In science class for the last week and a half we have been working on our IDLs and my partner and I did a photo journal. I chose this project because I thought that it would be fun and be interesting on what we can write about. I feel it went well but we at times could not find things to take pictures of or what to write. The success that we had was we took beautiful pictures and very educational pictures as well. I learned that a spectrum can happen anywhere and in anyplace!!!!!!!!!!! If we could do it again and I hope we do, I would add more detail!!!!!!!!!!!

Bonus Points

Today in science class we watched a movie about Atoms and Molecules and this is what I learned. Matter is made of tiny atoms. An atom is the smallest item you can get. Even with an electric microscope the atoms still look kind of blurry. An atom has electrons around the outside. A property of matter is called conductivity. Some properties of matter is color; texture; magnetism. Rust is a chemical change. (A part of matter) Helium is made of only helium atoms. I hope you learned so much about matter and atoms I know I did!!!!!!!!!!!

Electric currents

A circuit is used for electrical currents and a circuit is a route for electrons to flow through. The path has to be completely closed. There can be no openings. The electrons need a good path which is usually a conductor made of a kind of metal. The circuit has to have a material used for the electrons to have make it work like a light or a buzzer. The more power sources which is usually batteries the louder the buzzer or the brighter the light. This is an Electric Circuit
